I had no trouble converting pounds and ounces to grams, but it's driving me crazy trying to figure out how to opposite the calculation by grams, so that pounds appear in one jail cell and ounces in some other.

I know I need one calculation/cell for the pounds and another for the ounces, but I'chiliad non sure where to go from there.

I have entered a vlookup formula in a cell and it returns the correct value from the other worksheet. All the same when I copy the formula down it keeps returning the exact aforementioned value as the showtime cell. If I enter a formula in each individual cell information technology returns the correct value. Its driving me crazy ! I woyld exist glad of any communication

I have a large spreadsheet in Excel 2007. I am converting it to a .csv file to import in to another program. I need to delete all commas from all data.

When I attempt to replace all commas (with nada or with some other graphic symbol), I get the error message "The formula you typed contains an fault."

Posted this on the Ozgrid forums, but oasis't gotten any help nonetheless, so I thought I'd endeavour hither too!

I've been having a strange problem lately. I accept a adequately lengthy macro that works perfectly most of the fourth dimension. Occasionally it volition run as expected but as presently every bit the macro ends, excel becomes unresponsive to mouse-clicks. When I click anywhere (trying to select a cell, or an excel bill of fare item...clicking anywhere in excel) I'll get the a 'ding' system sound and zip will happen. Only, if I use the keyboard pointer keys, I tin see that the active cell pick moves accordingly. Then it gets really strange - when I have a cell highlighted and press any key to input text, information technology gets duplicated. Then if I press "s' it will input "ss" into the cell, and then when I press enter information technology will auto-motion to the next cell downwardly, but null ends up getting saved into the previous jail cell.

I don't sympathise what's going on at all. I can't remember of anything in my macro that would have these kinds of furnishings. I've made sure that screenupdating is turned back on at the end of every process. If I go into the VBE, I can manually run procedures and they all piece of work fine. Hello everyone,

I'm going nuts trying to effigy out how to autofill text from one cell
to another. For instance, everytime I blazon text into cell A20, I desire

This is probably an easy question for well-nigh of yous, but it'southward killing me. I tried searching before I posted this, merely the suggestions given didn't seem to work for me.

I need to look up data from a prison cell on ane Excel sheet, compare it to a list on a 2nd sheet and when they equal, accept a value from a different column on the 2nd canvass and drop it back on the 1st sheet. Since that's a horrible explanation, permit me try explaining it this fashion:

Sheet 1
Cavalcade A has a long list of code type 1s
Column Due east has a long listing of code type 2s

Sheet 2
Prison cell C2 has code ane
Cell E2 needs code 2

I know it should accept an index/lucifer role, but nothing I try is working. What I'grand trying is the following formula in Cell E2 of sail 2:

i have a worksheet with formulas in xv,000 cells; i have set the calculation to maunal so that you have to press F9 to calculate the sheet. \

sometimes, it takes 45 seconds to calc the whole sail, other times, it takes 5 minutes. how practise i clear the cache, or what do i have to practice and so that it calcs 45 seconds each fourth dimension.

i don't want the application to call back, it would be meliorate if those 15,000 cells can exist returned in a fraction-of-a-second. any ideas/tips? thanks.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and have been using excel for most 3 years. I accept learned alot but still can non figure out how to make numbers add up in one box like a running total. Meaning, If I have a listing and in the list is i jail cell for each item say like cell a1 is for a tin can of coke and cell a2 is for a machine tire and then on,and i want to keep a running total past adding a number to cell a1 or a2 like say "3 i.e. 3 tires or cans of coke" and later that solar day i come back and need to add 2 more than ......and so i want to be able to merely click on the cell a1 or a2 and enter the number 2 and the cell would add together the number in it to the number im calculation to it to prove a consequence of v tires or whatever. I am sorry If i am not asking the question in an understandable manor but its the best style I can recollect to ask it.lol anyways, any help would exist appreciated, Thank you in advance.
